Hello there! I’ll be going by Lizzie Bennett here in the blogging world and I am so grateful to you for stopping by! I am a Christian, curly haired, college student in want of helping other Christian, curly haired, college students. I LOVE to sing and play piano. I am also an avid reader of Jane Austen; my favorite book is Pride and Prejudice. I am obsessed with “Bones,” “Gilmore Girls,” as well as “Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman” (Don’t judge! Mike and Sully may be cheesy, but they carry wholesome messages). I am studying English at a junior college and hope to transfer to get my Bachelor’s and teaching credential. My favorite thing is when my whole family gets together on birthdays and sings “Happy Birthday” in harmony. Yes, it’s random, but beautiful and bittersweet! I share a two-year old labrador retriever, a chihuahua, one cat, five chickens, and two bullfrogs with the family.

Last June I had an idea for creating a blog. I didn’t know what in the world I would write about or even if I had the resources to do it. I had only just begun my hobby as a writer with about 20,000 words in to my first book. I honestly had no clue what I was doing, but I constantly felt drawn to writing. I started off with a few funny stories that happened in my life, then I began to pour my heart into posts that reached out to those who had a faith in Jesus Christ. I also started writing about other aspects in life: college, hair, food, etc.

As you can see, I’ve got crazy, curly, frizzy hair. While I touch up on curly hair tips, I want to stress that getting the best curls or being the most beautiful frizz-free girl in school is not at all important. Sure, it’s fun to dress up nice and fix your hair “all pretty like,” but that should not be anyone’s main focus in life. The tips I offer are help so that fixing your hair doesn’t have to be such a hassle. I guarantee that some days your hair will be a frizzy mess, but don’t fret about it! Your beauty is not weighed by your frizz-free hair, it is weighed on character. You are only beautiful if you are a beautiful person on the inside. Be content with the hair given to you and make shaping your heart more important than shaping you hair. 🙂
